Banks in BiH last year earned 7 times more than in 2015

Diaspora Money telegraf.rsThe banking sector in BiH completed the year of 2016 with a net profit of 220.4 million BAM, which represents a huge increase compared to 31.6 million BAM earned in 2015, according to Raiffeisen Research.

From a total of 23 banks, only three of them operated with losses, and these are Addiko Mostar, Addiko Banja Luka, and Pavlovic Bank Bijeljina.

The remaining 20 banks recorded a total profit of 284.3 million BAM, as said in the report of Raiffeisen Research.

The most profitable bank last year was Unicredit Mostar, which achieved a profit of 81.5 million BAM, which is 2 million BAM more compared to 2015.

The following is Raiffeisen Bank with 52.5 million BAM of profit. This bank managed to remain at the second place despite declining profits for more than 20 %, since the profit of this bank amounted to 67 million BAM in 2015, according to reports on the operations of these banks, which was published on the website of Sarajevo Stock Exchange this week.

We should also note that Raiffeisen Bank operates throughout the country, while Unicredit has a special bank in the RS, Unicredit Banja Luka, which made a profit of 22.4 million BAM last year, which is a million BAM more compared to 2015.

There was a change in the position in the RS last year, and the NLB Bank is in the first place with a profit of 28 million BAM.
