The Agency for Privatization of the FBiH will announce a tender for the selection of a strategic partner for the construction of cement factory in Banovici, together with the Coal Mine (RMU) Banovici.

The value of that project was estimated at a total of 250 million EUR.

They completed the entire investment and technical documentation, obtained environmental permit, but they are still waiting for the urban planning approval, which, as stated by RMU Banovici, should be obtained until the tender.

According to certain estimates, the factory could produce 1.1 million tonnes of cement on an annual level, both for the domestic market and for exports to Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. Also, they are considering the potential for exports of cement to North Africa, Turkey and Austria.
