The coach of the football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sergej Barbarez, said on Friday after the draw with Canada (1:1) that the result was realistic and emphasized the importance of the point won.
“There is regret when you lead to the end, but you have to be realistic – 1:1 is the right result. This is a good point to continue the competition,” said Barbarez, adding that he should try to win the next matches.
Jovo Lukić, the scorer of the goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that he would rather trade the goal for victory.
“I’m sorry that we didn’t win, but this point can mean a lot for us to move on,” said Lukić, stressing that the team must give their best in the next matches.
The BiH national football team will play its next match on June 18 in Los Angeles against Switzerland. In the group stage, “Dragons” will compete against the Qatar selection.
