Barbarez After The Draw: We Can Live With This, I Believe We Can Win Against Wales

The head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) “A” national team, Sergej Barbarez, commented on the World Cup 2026 playoff draw, which was held at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.

“I think this is a draw we can live with. Wales is a quality and serious team, especially on their home ground, but we also have our own strengths and faith in what we are doing. It will be a demanding match, but I am completely convinced that we will prepare well and give our maximum. My only wish was that the possible final would be played at home. That will be a great motivation for all of us. First, we have to do a big job in Wales, and if we succeed, on our stadium we will look for the ticket to the World Cup,” said Barbarez, as published on the official website of the Football Association of BiH.

The national team of BiH will play away against Wales in the semifinal of the World Cup playoff.

The winner of this match will play in the final on home ground against the better team from the Italy – Northern Ireland match.
