Samir Selimović won bronze in Athens

On the last day of the European Taekwondo Club Championships which was held in Athens, athletes of Sarajevo Novi Grad won yet another medal. In category of juniors up to 73kg, athlete of Novi Grad Samir Selimović, after losing to Italian athlete in the semi-final fight, won the bronze medal.
This competition that lasted for five days (5-13 January) is significant because BiH won its first senior medal, and two bronze medals.

Final results are: Armin Gredić, senior up to 80 kg- bronze, Samir Selimović, junior up to 73 kg- bronze, Alen Čukurija, juniors up to 63 kg and Emir Kaljanac, juniors up to 59- won victory, Nejla Kaljanac, senior up to 49 kg, Nedžad Husić, cadet up to 37 and Sadmir Habibović, up to 33 kg – without vicotry.

Besides the athletes of Novi Grad, BiH athletes of Zlatni Ljiljan won one silver medal in the category of juniors up to 41 kg.
