A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, strongly condemned the latest verbal attacks on the Rais-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein effendi Kavazović.
“Reacting to the continuation of orchestrated and malicious media attacks on the spiritual head of the Bosniak Muslim community, Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dr. Husein effendi Kavazović, I publicly call on Milorad Dodik to stop using inappropriate vocabulary. Milorad Dodik is the main promoter of war-mongering rhetoric and anti-Dayton policies,” said Bećirović.
He reminded that it was Dodik who was the only politician in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Europe who publicly threatened to surround the barracks of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Therefore, because of such a policy, Bećirović calls on the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to start doing its part and prosecute extremist politicians who threaten peace and stability in the country.
Also, Bećirović calls on all politicians in the country to respect the traditional values of tolerance and common life in BiH and contribute to mutual understanding and respect for the right to freedom of conscience and religion. Politicians should not spread intolerance and prejudice against other religious communities and churches.
“As a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I strongly condemn Dodik’s attempts to distort the facts that the supreme spiritual head of the Islamic Community spoke about. Dodik must know that we will never be silent when we see that human rights, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina are being threatened,” Bećirović underlined.
We are not afraid, he added, of attempts at intimidation by the declared destroyers of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“They must know that our fight for a democratic and European Bosnia and Herzegovina will be conducted in the state institutions. If someone thinks that it is possible to conduct politics outside the provisions of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina, then he must be aware of the negative consequences that such policies might produce,” said in the message of Denis Bećirović, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
