The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, received the Ambassador of Brazil to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maria Clara Duclos Carisio, on an inaugural visit.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina has an interest in developing comprehensive relations with the Federative Republic of Brazil. It is a growing global economic and political actor with numerous human and economic potentials. Economic cooperation between the two countries is at a modest level, although there are opportunities for better cooperation in the fields of agriculture, nutrition, forestry, livestock, viticulture, winemaking, tourism and culture,” Bećirović pointed out.

Ambassador Carisio said that Brazil considers Bosnia and Herzegovina a friendly country, and that there are no open issues between the two countries.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, informed Ambassador Carisio about the fact that the state authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina unanimously defined the strategic foreign policy priorities, namely the EU and NATO.

He added that as long as the state authorities of BiH do not change the laws and other acts that outline the foreign policy of the state, all representatives of the state of BiH are obliged to respect them.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, wished Ambassador Carisio a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina – announced the BiH Presidency.
