Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, thanked the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, for his constant support for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic path.

“I warmly thank you for the kind congratulations sent on the occasion of my election as a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am glad that friendly France fully supports the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing out the need to implement essential reforms, especially those in the recommendations of the European Commission,” Bećirović’s letter states.

He emphasized that it is extremely important for BiH that France strongly supports the candidate status of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the upcoming European Union summit in Brussels, which undoubtedly encourages BiH’s European path.

Bećirović said that the priorities in his political agenda are the implementation of fundamental reforms and the accelerated path of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union and NATO, and thanked the Republic of France and President Macron for their constant support for the Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

My firm commitment, Bećirović added, is that Bosnia and Herzegovina must continue to develop comprehensive and friendly relations with the French Republic, and I am happy that I will be able to personally contribute to this.

“I see the positive activities of the French Agency for Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which should further improve the economic and other forms of cooperation between the two countries,” the BiH Presidency announced.
