The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced that Belarus continued to build up military troops near the border, and on this occasion, they sent a message from Kyiv to the officials in Minsk.

In a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, they stated that Belarus should not follow the path taken by Russia.

“Belarusian armed forces are gathering a large number of soldiers and equipment near Ukraine’s northern border, all under the pretext of exercises. We warn Belarusian officials not to repeat tragic mistakes under pressure from Moscow and to withdraw troops from our border,” they stated.

In addition to the regular army, Ukraine points out that members of the special forces of Belarus, anti-aircraft defense systems, tanks, artillery, and mercenaries of the Wagner group are stationed at the border.

“We warn that in the event of a violation of the Ukrainian state border, our country will take all necessary measures to exercise the right to self-defense guaranteed by the United Nations (UN)Charter. Accordingly, all concentrations of troops, military facilities and supply routes in Belarus will become legitimate targets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,“ they explained, Klix.ba writes.
