Bešlagić: I know Stories how Dodik saved Muslims in the War

enis-beslagicThe famous BiH actor Denis Bešlagić was a guest in the TV show Pressing on N1 television. With the editor and host Amir Zukić he talked about many interesting topics, and he also spoke about the relationship with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.

Zukić asked Bešlagić what is Dodik like privately and what they talk about.

“We don’t meet for coffee, although Dodik loves cafes, and it is good that you know what he loves, while with our people you don’t know. I know stories from the war how Dodik saved Muslims by putting them in his car and driving them from Laktaši. When we meet, I ask him why I am there today and he is not in Sarajevo tomorrow and I ask him why he thinks about me and Muslims in a negative sense. Dodik then tells me that he does not think like that and that he says things impulsively. He told me that he has no one to speak to in Sarajevo and that all those to whom he extended his hand screwed him over, and I believe him,” said Bešlagić.

Bešlagić also commented on the statement by the Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, when she said that Islam in BiH is becoming radical.

“One might think that the president grew up with Muslims and knows what Muslims are like in general. They know only what they see in the media. Radicalization of Muslims is noticed in media, but radicalization, fascism and nationalism in their worst form have been preset in the region for a long time now, since the war. If I celebrate both Eids, then I am also radical. A lot is being told today about women who wear hijab. What about that? That is fascism. I don’t mind looking at naked behinds and chest revealed by someone, that is a matter of tradition and it often has nothing to do with the religion. You cannot tell a Chinese man to get up from the floor and leave the sticks, but you join him and respect that. There were always jerks and there will always be. Jerks in the politics have radicalized and they are the reason why our children don’t have an alternative, do not know which school to enroll in, and our parents, your parents, our fighters do not have adequate treatment, they have nothing, but the important thing is that we radicalized,” said Bešlagić.
