80 million EUR Loan for the Construction of the Corridor 5C

corridorDeputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B&H and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda and director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in B&H Ian Brown today will sign the contract on loan for the construction of the Corridor 5C.

The value of the contract is 80 million EUR. The signing ceremony will be held in the premises of Parliamentary Assembly of B&H, as announced from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of B&H.

Corridor 5C is a transport road and rail corridor that connects Hungary, Croatia and B&H on the section Budapest – Osijek – Sarajevo – Ploče.

The longest part of the corridor, which is about 335 kilometers long, passes through B&H, from which 285 km passes through the Federation of B&H and the rest through the Republic of Srpska.

Corridor 5C is passing through B&H on following direction: Svilaj – Odžak – Modric – Doboj – Zenica – Kakanj – Visoko – Sarajevo – Konjic – Jablanica – Mostar – Čapljina to the south border with Croatia, precisely at Bijača border crossing.
