Between 3,7 and 3,8 Million People Live in B&H

karta-bihBetween 3,7 and 3,8 million people live in B&H, according to the first unofficial and preliminary results of the B&H Population Census, in information obtained by Dnevni Avaz from reliable sources.

Even if there is still pending receipt of census materials and the scanning of collected materials begins, experts from agencies for statistics already have, according to so-called controllers and information from the field, approximate figures on the population in B&H.

Experts who work on the census established a system in which they can very quickly consolidate data that they receive from the field and to have an overview of what the more than 20.000 enumerators have done this month.

According to this information, which Dnevni Avaz received from well-informed sources close to the B&H Statistics Agency, in the RS there are between 1,2 and 1,4 million people, in District Brčko somewhat less than 100.000, and in the FB&H there are between 2,3 and 2,4 million people.

These statistics show that in our country there are significantly fewer people than in 1991, when the last census was carried out. If the data on births and deaths is taken from then until now, in B&H there are one million people less than what would have been if there had been no war.
