B&H Armed Forces Will Send Soldiers to Mali at the Beginning of Next Year

os bihWithin the UN peacekeeping mission, B&H will send a contingent to Mali at the beginning of next year, announced the Minister of Defense of B&H Zekerijah Osmić, recalling that B&H has 58 members of Armed forces in peacekeeping missions in world.

“58 members of B&H Armed Forces are in the ISAF mission in Afghanistan. Besides that, we have 5 members in the UN peacekeeping mission MONUSCO in Congo. B&H Armed Forces have provided support to civilian structures of government in 2013. We have provided assistance in extinguishing fires that have occurred this summer in Herzegovina, on Jablanica, on Orzen and at the hospital “Dr.Irfan Ljubijankić” in Bihać. We have also assisted in the construction of new roads about 156 kilometers long in several municipalities of B&H”, said Osmić.

He added that B&H Armed Forces are planning to receive 360 new soldiers in their structures in 2014.
