Two BH Bands welcomed Migrants with a Concert

After the opening of exhibitions “Balkan Route” and “People of Sarajevo”, a concert of popular BH music bands Dubioza Kolektiv and Helem Nejse was held in the Historical Museum of Sarajevo.

Several hundred people gathered and enjoyed a great atmosphere made by these popular musicians, and the main message sent from the concert was that refugees are welcomed in the capital city of BiH.

The performance followed after the opening of the exhibition “Balkan route” by Marko Djuric, a photojournalist who has been following the migration crisis since the year of 2013, and the exhibition “People of Sarajevo” by Imrana Kapetanovic who told the story of migrants who are currently staying in Sarajevo.

“My goal was to show their human story, to show that they are forced to seek for a better and more beautiful life, that they have exactly the same needs, desires and goals as all of us,” said Kapetanovic.

Besides exhibitions and concert, citizens of BiH also had the opportunity to make their donations to the organization Pomozi.ba, which has been supporting more than 1,000 people since the month of February this year.
