Yellow Meteoalarm issued for the Territory of BiH

12476378_1134363393281282_1221891602_nThe Federal Hydrometeorological Institute issued a yellow meteoalarm for the area of BiH due to increased precipitation. Weather in the coming days will be cloudy with rain.

The yellow meteoalarm suggests that the weather might be potentially dangerous. The forecasted weather phenomena are not unusual, but caution is necessary if engaging in activities exposed to meteorological risk. People should keep up with the information about expected meteorological conditions and it is advised not to undertake unnecessary risks.

Weather forecast for Wednesday, March 23, is cloudy with rain and possible snow on the mountains. During the day, rain might turn into sleet or snow in the lowlands of central and eastern Bosnia. Expected amount of precipitation is between 20 and 30, at places up to 40 liters per square meter, in the western areas between 40 and 50 liters per square meter. In higher areas the snow cover is expected to rise. Morning temperatures will range between 1 and 6, in the south between 6 and 9, while the highest daily temperature will range between 2 and 7, in the south between 8 and 11 degrees.

On Thursday, March 24, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy, with occasional rain or sleet in Bosnia and light snow in higher areas. Rainfall will cease in the afternoon and the weather in Krajina is expected to clear completely. No rainfall is expected in Herzegovina. Expected amount of precipitation is between 5 and 10, at places up to 20 liters per square meters. Morning temperature will range between -2 and 3 degrees, in the south between 3 and 7, and the highest daily temperature will be between 3 and 8 degrees, in the south between 9 and 13.

On Friday, March 25, it is expected that the weather will be mostly cloudy. In central mountain areas there is a chance of light snow. Morning temperatures will be between -2 and 3 degrees, in the south between 3 and 7 degrees, while the highest daily temperature will range between 3 and 8 degrees, in the south between 8 and 12 degrees.
