Aid for Refugees dnevnik.hrNot being able to forget the Calvary that they have been through themselves, the citizens of Sarajevo launched a campaign of collection donations for the refugees who are currently staying in Serbia and Macedonia.

Those are the same people who wanting to help the afflicted ones launched a similar campaign during the floods, when they gathered and distributed tons of goods and crossed thousands of kilometers.

“That is when the Citizens’ Association Komsiluk was founded which now, with the same goal, aims to animate all the citizens of Sarajevo”, said Nedzad Bibrovic, one of the initiators of the initiative, and added that the whole story was launched on the basis of the fact that many people want to help them, but do not know how.

According to the information gathered until now, the refugees need canned products, i.e. food which requires no special temperature regime and which can be consumed momentarily.

“Besides food, there is great need for diapers, wet wipes, sterile gauzes, baby powders, baby creams, and regarding the medicines paracetamol and tablets or syrups for stomach problems”, Biberovic stated and emphasized that a lot of goods is already gathered, but the organizers are facing the problem of crossing the border.

As Biberovic explained, the collected goods should be transported to those who need it on Saturday, August 29th. They are currently working out the way to transport all the goods across the border and deliver it all directly to the refugees.

“On this occasion, we invite all those who want, but don’t know the way to deliver help to the refugees themselves, to contact Sandra via the phone number 061-222-265”, Biberovic urged and added that, along with the gathering of food, an account is opened for the people who wish to donate money. Those who want to do so can do it in the Raiffeisen Bank, account number 1613000006643779.
