One more amazing news of the great success of the BH high school students comes from the Genius Olympiad at the State University in New York.
Among 720 finalists from 65 countries, the competitors from B&H Salko Zlatko Lagumdzija and Hana Hadzic were awarded the only Grand Prix award for music, for their song “Planet B”.
However, Salko Zlatko and Hana are not the only BH contestants who won the awards at this Olympiad. Elmir Sut, Ernad Mahmic from Zenica, and Anela Arifi and Ilda Ismaili from Tuzla all won golden medals for scientific achievements, and the credits also go to their professor and the head of the BH team, Admir Dogic.
Salko Zlatko Lagumdzija is the son of Zlatko Lagumdzija and one of the best young mathematicians in B&H, and this time he tried his hand at a completely different genre with his friend. They performed the awarded song at the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, with Anela Arifi and Ilda Ismaili. Salko Zlatko Lagumdzija is the author of the text and music, and if you want to see how it all sounded on the stage, as well as the proclamation of awards, check the video bellow.
