kresicMijo Kresic, Deputy Minister of Security, confirmed that B&H authorities have contacted the French authorities and shared certain information and that the information exchange will be continued in the following period.

“For quite some time, B&H as well as all law enforcement agencies and the entire intelligence and security sector have increased security measures at a higher level. The focus is on people who are interesting in terms of possible planning and performing of actions that are contrary to the system of B&H and certain democratic principles. These are people who would be able at some point to perform certain activities such as terrorist attack,” said Kresic.

Kresic stated that the contacts and exchange of information was realized with the neighboring countries, as well as beyond.

“Only together we can give a quality respond. There was a contact with the French authorities within the last 3 days, and that cooperation must exist because we need good channels and tools for checking. The agencies that were contacted in B&H are absolutely ready to cooperate. Our interest is very clear, and it is to fight together with others, to fight against any form of threat to security anywhere. We are standing here as a service and we are happy to share any information with others,” said Kresic.
