The group for tourism of the B&H Foreign Trade Chamber in cooperation with USAID-Sida FIRMA project launched activity for rural tourism development to improve the quality of services and offers in the area of rural tourism in B&H.
‘’The aim of the project is to harmonize the regulatory frameworks, generally rural tourism and to put into full operation the tourist economy of B&H. There is much potential for rural tourism in B&H. B&H is a country of potential and we are trying to transform this potential into something else’’, said the Secretary for Tourism and Hospitality of the B&H Foreign Trade Chamber Mirko Bošković.
He said that the analysis has shown that in the country, before the introduction of any new standards, work needs to be done on adjusting the national legal framework when it comes to rural tourism.
After the initiative to regulate this field by introducing international standards and certificates that came from international and local organizations, an analysis of the situation was made in this area that was presented to B&H tourist agencies.
