BH Presidency: BiH will be a devoted Member of the World Heritage Committee

The Presidency of BiH welcomed the decision of the General Assembly of Contracting Parties to the World Heritage Convention on the election of BiH as a member of the World Heritage Committee.

Also, the Presidency expressed its gratitude to all countries that have supported the election of BiH to the World Heritage Committee.

“We are convinced that the dedication to the preservation and restoration of the cultural heritage that we have shown so far will make BiH a devoted member of the World Heritage Committee,” as stated from this institution.

The main goal of BiH, as a member of this body, will be to protect and promote the World Heritage Convention as the most important global instrument for transferring world cultural heritage to generations to come.

The Presidency of BiH also accepted the Report on the realization of activities that are related to the fulfillment of the conditions for the activation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP).

Moreover, they accepted the invitation of the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic for an official visit to the Republic of Serbia, which will take place from December 6 to 7, 2017.

The decisions on ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in the process of the accession to the European Union was adopted, as well as the decision on the Loan Agreement (Employment Support Project) between BiH and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
