B&H Speed Skaters Won 3 Gold and 3 Silver Medals at the Balkan Games

brzo_klizanjeAt the Balkan Games in Celje (Slovenia) this weekend (1st and 2nd March) representatives of Bosnia Herzegovina in speed skating on short track won 3 gold and 3 silver medals.

According to the skating club ”Bosna”, Samra Selimbegović, the member of the skating club “Bosna” won the gold medal in the category of juniors B, and the member of the club ”The One” Edin Branković, also won the gold medal, but in the category of seniors.

This year, the men’s team from Bosnia participated for the first time in the relay race, and won the gold medal. The following members took part:  Edin Branković, Nihad Bašić, Ademir Babaić and Tarik Omeragić.

Silver medals were won by Muhamed Zajimović, Tarik Omeragić and Ademir Babaić, members of KKK “Bosna”, in the category of juniors D, juniors B and juniors A.

Colors of Bosnia Herzegovina were defended by the Mak Krstić and Nihad Bašić, who improved their personal results.

This competition was a great preparation for the BH representatives who travel next week on the world junior championship in Erzurum (Turkey).
