The BH Pride Parade, the fifth in line, has reached its final destination – the National Theater in Sarajevo, where it will address itself and where an appropriate cultural and artistic program will be held.

Numerous participants of the LGBTQI+ population, activists as well as citizens headed to this location at 18:00 from the Historical Museum.

During the peaceful walk, which passed without a single incident, they carried LGBTQI+ as well as Palestinian flags, shouting numerous slogans that echoed through the city.

“This is protest”, “This is pride”, “This is freedom”, “This is love”, “Free, free Palestine” are just some of the messages that were heard.

The organizing committee points out that this year’s motto refers to violence and that they want to bring closer to the wider social community what members of the LGBT community suffer in their daily lives due to discrimination due to different sexual orientation. They emphasize that they are determined against any kind of violence.

“We join all prides that stand in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and send a clear message against war and oppression. Solidarity, anti-fascism and anti-militarism are among the key principles of our collective and movement,” said the organizers.

There are citizens on the streets who are not part of the Parade and are standing on the sidewalks while the participants pass by.

Strong police forces secured this BH Pride Parade, and among those present were politicians and other people from public life, N1 writes.
