Several cities in B&H will take part this year as well to join world capitals for Earth Hour, the biggest global volunteer action that the World Wide Fund for Nature WWF organizes for eight years in a row.
‘’On the last Saturday in March, the old bridge in Mostar will again sink into darkness, the Banski Dvor in Banja Luka old city in Doboj, center of Bugojno, Livno and many other cities. WWF, through organizing Earth Hour for eight years in a row, seeks to awaken citizens of the world and show them that it is the last moment to undertake something in order to stop the excessive spending of the earth’s resources’’, said Bojan Stojanović, Project Manager for Earth Hour in B&H.
In this action, people from all spheres of life and with their small actions can express concern about the welfare of the earth.
‘’We call on all citizens to join us on 29 March at 20:30 by turning off their lights and to think about what they can do to reduce their ecological footprint’’, said Stojanović.
The main event in B&H for Earth Hour will be held this year as well in Mostar, in cooperation with United World College.
