Biden had to explain his Statement: What did he mean in saying that he’ll have ‘come to Jesus Meeting’ with Netanyahu

After Biden’s statement about how he and Netanyahu will have a meeting with Jesus caused a lot of attention, the United States (U.S.) president explained what he meant in an interview with MSNBC.

Biden said this during a conversation with Democratic Senator Michael Bennet in the House of Representatives, right after his State of the Nation address on Thursday.

“I told him, Bibi, and don’t say this again, but you and I are going to have a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting,” Biden said.

On that occasion, a journalist asked him what exactly that statement meant, and Biden said that the expression was not uncommon in his hometown.

“It’s a term used in the southern part of my state and it means ‘serious meeting.’ I’ve known Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu) for 50 years and he knew what I meant,” Biden said.

Also, the U.S. president commented on the negotiations on the ceasefire and said that he hopes they will start as soon as thisweek.

“We should work on that ceasefire. The focus is also on what comes after Gaza. A lot can be done,” concluded the U.S. president, Klix.ba reports.
