The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), at the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, passed the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on Visas, which temporarily abolishes the visa regime for citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in BiH and introduces visas for citizens of the Sultanate of Oman.
According to the Decision, citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are exempted from the obligation to obtain a visa for entry, exit, transit and stay on the territory of BiH in the period from June 1st to September 30th, 2024.
On this basis, citizens of Saudi Arabia can stay in BiH for a maximum of 30 days.
The reasons for making a decision on the visa-free regime during the tourist season and in 2024 are of an economic nature, the promotion of tourist, economic and development capacities of BiH and the further development of bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At the same time, the obligation to have a visa for entry, exit, transit and stay on the territory of BiH is introduced for citizens of the Sultanate of Oman, due to the obligation to harmonize the visa policy with the visa policy of the European Union (EU), Klix.ba writes.
