The Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, Mirsad Vilic and the Director of the Agency for Forensic Investigations and Expertise, Radisa Samardzija, signed an Agreement on Cooperation today, which enables access to Interpol databases.

The agreement between the two agencies within the BiH Ministry of Security will further strengthen what has been started and establish another basis for further development of cooperation.

The agreement mutually defines the rights and obligations for the use of the Interpol information system and databases, which implies direct access to Interpol databases through a secure global police communication network I-24/7.

On this occasion, the Director of the DKPT, Mirsad Vilic, pointed out that the signing of this Agreement represents an upgrade of the previous good partnership cooperation and will enable the Agency for Forensic Investigations and Expertise to exchange data from its competence faster and more efficiently.

The Directorate remains committed to fulfilling its mission and vision and is continuously making efforts to strengthen its capacity as well as strengthen cooperation with law enforcement agencies in BiH and international partners, as well as the application of best European standards and practices.

Samardzija pointed out the Agency’s commitment to continue to provide effective support to the competent law enforcement institutions in BiH. The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the two agencies so far has been professional and successful.
