Contracts were signed in Stolac as part of the Government of the Republic of Croatia’s Assistance Program for the return of Croats to Bosnia and Herzegovina. 61 contracts were awarded at the ceremony.

Contracts within the Government of the Republic of Croatia Assistance Program for the return of Croats to Bosnia and Herzegovina aim first of all to support the return and reintegration, but also the stay of Croats in our country, by encouraging sustainable return through financial assistance to associations and other legal entities.

The program primarily encourages economic activities, as well as support for institutions that take care of people with special needs, and strives to restore and build communal and social infrastructure, as well as facilities for the implementation of social assistance and religious facilities.

Beneficiaries are obliged to use the funds for the intended purpose by the end of this year.

The delegation of the Government of the Republic of Croatia is led by Vice President Branko Bačić, otherwise the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, and consists of the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia Oleg Butković, and the Secretary of the Office for Croats Outside the Republic of Croatia Zvonko Milas.

The delegation of the Government of the neighboring country previously met in Mostar with the leaders of the Croatian National Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the president of the HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Čović.

As announced, during the day Čović, Bačić, Butković and Milas will go to Ravno where they will visit the works on the construction of the main road Ravno – Zavala, financed by the Government of Croatia.
