Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanovic and Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH Guillaume Rousson signed a cooperation agreement between BiH and the Republic of France on Wednesday in Sarajevo.

“Cooperation in the field of cinematography between BiH and France is very dynamic and it has a long tradition. Our plan is to further increase cooperation in the field of cinematography in the upcoming period based on this agreement, as well as to provide a legal framework for cinematographic cooperation considering the rules of the cinematographic industry in France and BiH. The French system for the support of cinematography should be an example for many other countries. BiH shares similar views when it comes to the importance of cinematography for the cultural and economic development of a country,” stated Minister Osmanovic.

The signing of this agreement shows the commitment to the principles of European coproduction, it increases the range of opportunities for co-operation and facilitates the process of acquiring the co-production status and better entry of BH films to France and French films to BiH. The Mixed Commission will be established for a more successful implementation of this agreement, and an equal number of representatives of competent authorities and experts from both countries will be included in its work.
