BiH approved to use Money from CEF Fund

jusko11Thanks to the efforts by the Minister of Communications and Transportation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ismir Jusko, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries from the region will have the opportunity for the first time ever to use the fund of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), intended for investments in infrastructure of the European Union in the field of transportation.

Main aim of the CEF Fund is to remove obstacles for transportation, while ensuring high level of safety of all participants, social and ecologic standards, with the goal of increasing the degree of mobility and market integration of the EU.

Ministry of Communications and Transportation of BiH will consult the relevant entity bodies and bodies of the District Brčko and inform them timely and adequately about the opportunity for applying for the CEF fund.

Foreseen budget of the CEF for BiH and other countries of the region is 40 million EUR, while the deadline for submission of applications is February 7, 2017.

Ministry of Communications and Transportation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue undertaking activities with the aim of ensuring money from EU funds, which will be used for improvement of all infrastructure facilities in BiH.
