The basketball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina last night defeated Slovakia at the prequalification round for the World Championship and kept a chance to enter the next round of qualifications. The final result was 84:71.

The BiH team began the match at home in the Mirza Delibasic Hall in Sarajevo. The fantastic Dzenan Musa played in a virtual trance, all of his shots going into the hoop. That was his quarter to remember, his best moments in the dress of the senior national team of BiH. However, the Slovaks were strong and were able to keep the results connection for a long while, almost until the end of the first halftime.

The first halftime ended with the BiH team leading 38:33. But that wasn’t a determinant lead so trainer Dusko Vujosevic had to go in even harder later on in the match so that the results would be significant.

A lighter injury of our best player Musa didn’t disrupt the Dragons so they, led by the young ace, continue playing a good match and finally won in Mirza Delibasic Hall in Sarajevo.

As the time passed, it became clear that the BiH national team was going towards its first victory and, at that, with a convincing result. The final result was a reflection of the relation of power on the floor last night. The match gave us hope for final result in the prequalification round. The best BiH player last night was Dzenan Musa with 32 points, while Rancik with 14 points was the best Slovak player.

BiH will play the next match at home against Armenia on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
