BiH beat Finland 31-19 in European Handball Championship Qualifier

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) beat Finland 31-19 in the fourth round of the 2020 European Handball Championship qualifying tournament in Tuzla on Sunday evening.

In the full Mejdan Hall in Tuzla, a city located some 120 kilometers northeast of BiH capital Sarajevo, visiting team played better in the first half, leading 3-2. Fifteen minutes before the end of the first half, BiH team played better, going on the break with result of 16-10.

In the second half, BiH team was leading majority of time with 7,8 points differences, ending the second half with result of 31-19.

In group 5, BiH is on the first place with 6 points, followed by Czech Republic with also 6 points and followed by Belarus with 4 points.

Currently, with three wins and one defeat, BiH has a good chance to go for the first time at the European Championship.

The 2020 European Men’s Handball Championship will take place in January 2020 and be co-hosted for the first time by three countries: Austria, Norway and Sweden.
