BiH beat Turkey 7-2 in Preliminary Round for FIFA Futsal World Cup, entered the Main Round

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) beat Turkey 7-2 in the preliminary round for FIFA Futsal World Cup on Friday in Zenica, a city located 70 kilometers northwest of the capital Sarajevo.

Nermin Kahvedzic from the host team opened the scoring, after which both teams played defensively in the first half. In the last 40 seconds of the first half, Kahvedzic scored for 2-0 for the host team.

In the second half, Anel Radmilovic from the host team scored two goals, after which BiH continued the momentum until Muhammet Furkan Ozkan from the visiting team scored in 30th minute, and after 7 minutes, Cenk Sen from the visiting team scored the second goal.

Currently, BiH is topping Group F with 9 points.

Opponents to BiH team in the main round will be Croatia, Russia, and the second placed team from group E of the preliminary round (Sweden or Belgium). The qualification tournament will be held in Croatia in Oct. this year.

The 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania is scheduled to take place from September 12 to October 4, 2020 with 24 contenders.
