Many buildings throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) were lit up in the colors of the European Union (EU) on the occasion of the green light given by the European Council to BiH for the opening of negotiations.

The Delegation of the EU and the Head of the Delegation, Johann Sattler, published photos and a video of the cities in BiH on social networks after the historic decision for BiH which was made two days ago.

We received a positive signal from Brussels, and many streets and buildings in BiH were decorated with EU flags even before the decision was made, and the well-known colors of the EU were highlighted yesterday.

“To celebrate the opening of BiH‘s accession negotiations with the EU, local authorities throughout the country, in partnership with the EU Office in BiH, illuminated historical monuments and put up EU flags,” said the Delegation.

It is stated that the buildings in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Mostar, and Brcko were illuminated, Klix.ba reports.
