The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been informed by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Stockholm that one BiH citizen was killed and one Serbian citizen was wounded in a mass shooting that occurred on February 4, 2025 in the Swedish city of Örebro.

This is unofficial information that the Embassy received from family members of the deceased BiH citizens, while the police of the Kingdom of Sweden have not yet announced the names of the victims of the attack in Örebro.

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Stockholm is in constant contact with the competent authorities and local authorities in Sweden in order to promptly inform the public in Bosnia and Herzegovina about the situation in Örebro, given the large BiH community in this city.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic attack in Örebro.

As a reminder, the Swedish police said that at least 10 people were killed during the shooting at the adult school in Örebro, which occurred on February 4.
Also, the suspect in this attack, Rickard Andersson, is dead.

The police are still investigating the motives of this horrific attack, while witnesses and family describe Andersson as a withdrawn and socially isolated individual, who over the years has completely cut off contact with the environment.
