The city administration of Bijeljina introduced a new sports discipline – holding cabbage heads, with a prize fund of 1,600 BAM (800 Euros).

This discipline is part of the sports day within the “Knowledge, song and dance through Semberija” festival, and the rules are that the competitor holds a head of cabbage weighing 1.5 kilos in outstretched hands for as long as possible.

Other sports disciplines in which the participants will compete are tug-of-war with a prize fund of 5,000 BAM, and long jump and high jump with a prize fund of 1,600 BAM each.

The sports day will be held on June 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the stadium in the local community of Brodac.
