The first-instance verdict for five former military police officers of the Army of Republika Srpska, who are accused of crimes committed in Rogatica in 1995, is scheduled for Monday, July 21.
Zoran Nešković, as commander, and Panto Pantović, Slaviša Đerić, Nenad Ujić and Pero Despet as former guards at “Rasadnik” are accused of crimes against detainees in their capacity as commanders, where more than 40 Bosniak men from the areas of Rogatica, Žepa and Srebrenica were detained, most of whom were around 60 years old, as well as two minors, as well as more than ten persons who needed medical attention.
In their closing arguments, the Prosecution requested a guilty verdict and the legally prescribed sentence, while the Defense proposed that the accused be acquitted or that negative verdicts be issued.
The trial in that case began in July 2022.
The first witnesses in the trial of Vidoje Blagojević, Vlado Matić, Branko Studen, Miladin Ivanić and Cvjetko Stojanović, who are accused of crimes in Zvornik, are due to be heard on Tuesday, 22 July.
Trials for crimes in the areas of Goražde, Višegrad, Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ, Sanski Most, Bosanska Krupa, Foča, Visoko, Sokolac and Bužim continue next week, BIRN BiH reports.
