Deputy Minister of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Aleksandar Goganovic said that Minister Zukan Helez, without his consent, approved attack control training in a joint session of the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH) and the United States (U.S.) Air Force on January 8th, although it was planned for the end of the month, which represents a classic provocation of the Serbian people.
“The holding of the training at the end of the month was acceptable, but overnight the date was changed to January 8th, bypassing all procedures. According to my knowledge, the usual procedures for approving such activities were violated in a hurry, which will be the subject of a special investigation and prosecution of those who participated,” Goganovic emphasized.
He said that the act was prepared in the Minister’s Cabinet instead of in the competent sector that BiH Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA) also violated the prescribed procedures, and that proceedings will be initiated against them as well.
“It is clear that the message is being sent on the eve of January 9th and the celebration of the Day of the Republika Srpska (RS). Such actions do not contribute to internal stability, especially if we take into account the fact that one of the three constituent peoples in BiH – the Serbs – is celebrating the second day of Christmas, the most joyous Christian holiday, on that day,” Goganovic pointed out.
He pointed out that it is quite clear that the date was changed at the request of the Bosniak side due to their inability to prevent the celebration of the RS Day.
“I strongly condemn this action and publicly call on the U.S. Embassy in BiH to hold the training at the end of January, when it is planned, and thereby send a clear message to the citizens of BiH that their presence and planned training is not a provocation of any people in BiH. Honestly, I will be sorry if they fall under the influence of Bosniak politics and send the wrong message to the citizens of RS on January 8th,” said Goganovic.
He said that the citizens of Doboj, Derventa, Brcko, Zvornik, and Bijeljina want to look at a better future on the second day of Christmas, and not to the U.S. or anyone else’s bombers, N1 writes.
