With the support of the United States of America, representatives of the centers for the education of judges and (public) prosecutors in FBiH and RS are attending the 10th international conference on the topic “Effective judicial education: Understanding vulnerable populations”, which is being held in Ottawa, Canada, from October 30 to November 3.
The conference is being held at the National Judicial Institute of Canada and is organized by the International Organization for Judicial Education (IOJT), which was founded in 2002 to support the efforts of judicial education institutions around the world.
Arben Murtezić, director of the Center for the Education of Judges and Prosecutors in FBiH (CEST FBiH), spoke at the panel “Gender Identity: Judicial Competences”, which was attended by distinguished international experts, talking about experiences from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Entity centers for the education of judges and prosecutors have the comprehensive support of the Embassy of the United States of America in Sarajevo through the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), which enabled them to participate in this year’s (IOJT) conference.
The centers joined the International Organization for Judicial Education (IOJT) after participating in the IOJT conference in 2019, which was also supported by the INL, the CEST FBiH announced.
