The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Trišić-Babić received in separate visits today the newly named Ambassadors to BiH: Zaid Al-Lozi of the Kingdom of Jordan and with a seat in Rome and Alijar Lebe Abdul Aziz of Sri Lanka with a seat in Vienna.
Trišić-Babić wished the Ambassadors a warm welcome and took the opportunity to confirm the friendly relations with BiH, and that bilateral relations should improve in the future. She spoke to Al-Lozi about the current internal situation in BiH and its foreign policy goals.
Ambassador Al-Lozi spoke to Trišić-Babić about aspects of the Middle East crisis, the current situation and problems his country faces during the civil war in Syria, especially when it comes to refugees.
They agreed that there is an urgent need to end the conflict and establish normalization of relations in the Middle East, with the goal to find a peace solution for all sides in the conflict.
They exchanged opinions on the opportunities for investment and mutual cooperation in business, cultural and student exchange and development of tourism in BiH, as well as in Jordan.
Trišić-Babić spoke to the Ambassador of Sri Lanka about the progress of BiH in necessary reforms for its EU and NATO aspirations.
Ambassador Abdul Azis spoke to Trišić-Babić on the economic and political situation in Asia and especially expressed interest of his country for economic cooperation, especially investment in the spa tourism in BiH, announced the BIH Ministry of Internal Affairs.
