The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cairo (Egypt) and the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Amman (Jordan), which cover Palestine, have not yet received requests for the evacuation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s citizens from Palestine, the head of the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Nebojša Regoje, confirmed for Fena news agency.
He said that the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Tel Aviv has provided support for the evacuation of a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina who has already left Israel. Another BiH citizen, who has already contacted the BiH Embassy in Tel Aviv, plans to leave Israel by regular airline.
“Given that our citizens do not have the obligation to register with our DKPs when staying abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH does not have precise information on the number of citizens residing in Israel and Palestine. According to the estimates of our DKPs, several female citizens of BiH are married with Palestinian citizens, but we do not have information on whether they have acquired Palestinian citizenship in the meantime, and none of them have requested any assistance from our DKP for now,” Regoje pointed out.
During the day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina will issue recommendations for travel to these two countries and announce contacts that citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina can contact for possible assistance.
