BiH would be able to export products of animal and plant origin after July 1st, when Croatia accedes to the EU. BiH could export its products across two border crossings in Bijača i Gradiška, and if necessary, a third border crossing would be open in Izačić, said a spokesman of the Indirect Taxation Authority for BiH Ratko Kovačević.

“BiH has negotiated with representatives of Croatia and the EU of the opportunity to open the third border crossing at Izačić for the export of products of plant and animal origin to the EU’’, said Kovačević.

He explained that a third crossing would be possible when BiH has enough companies that are engaged in the export of products of plant and animal origin.

According to him, they have agreed that on three border crossings of Orašje, Gorica and Ivanjica, if necessary, the export of products of plant origin that require health inspections would be possible.

Kovačević said that this would be defined in the agreement that is expected to be signed by the end of May at the Ministry level between BiH, Croatia and the EU.
