BiH Famous Actor Sasa Petrovic dies at the Age of 61

Actor Aleksandar Saša Petrović from Bosnia and Herzegovina died today at the age of 61, it was confirmed for Klix.ba.

Aleksandar Saša Petrović was born on January 2, 1962 in Sarajevo. He achieved his first major film role in Srđan Vuletić’s film “It’s hard to be nice”, for which he won the “Heart of Sarajevo” award for best actor at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2007.

This sad news was shared by the director Srđan Vuletić on his Facebook profile.

“Dear Sal, I hope you are in a better place. Thank you for everything,” Vuletić said briefly with a clip of a scene from the movie “It’s hard to be nice”.

Petrović struggled with illness for a long time.

The audience will certainly remember him for his role in the cult play “Audition”, and he will remain recognizable for his work in the Chamber Theater and the play “Do you remember Dolly Bell”.

Although he entered the Academy of Performing Arts in 1983, he did not have time to graduate because of the “Audition” and then the war. He finally got his diploma only in 2006.

He also played roles in the films “No Man’s Land”, “This Little Soul”, “The Life of a Worker”, “Let’s Love Each Other”, “Kuduz”, “East of the East”, “America is Cursed”, “Fire is Burning”, ” Summer in the Golden Valley”, “Nafaka”.

In recent years, we could see him on small screens in the role of Stjepan in the comedy series “Crazy, Confused, Normal”.
