BiH FM initiated the Declaration of January 9 as a Day of Mourning in the Territory of BiH

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, announced on social media that he had today sent an initiative to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to declare January 9 a day of mourning in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on the initiative of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide and the “Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclave” and “Women of the Drina” movements.

In his initiative, Konaković points out that on that day in 1992, the “state of the Serbian people” was proclaimed in BiH, which was an introduction to plans to break up BiH and the beginning of a joint criminal enterprise, accompanied by crimes unrecorded since World War II.

“Therefore, this date represents a symbol of ethnic divisions, political segregation and the disastrous consequences that led to the loss of human lives, the destruction of families and generations that suffered the consequences during the war,” Konaković emphasized.
