The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, rejected as untruth what US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien said that property in Bosnia and Herzegovina is state property.
“State property is not mentioned anywhere,” said Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka after the extended session of the SNSD Executive Committee, of which he is the president.
Dodik pointed out that today O’Brien told untruths with the aim of supporting Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The goal is the centralization of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the introduction of unrest in these areas,” emphasized Dodik.
He said that O’Brien is not the interpreter of the Dayton Agreement, nor is the Dayton Agreement the property of the USA.
Dodik said that at the time of the signing of the Dayton Agreement, O’Brien “was an ordinary penman who was lucky enough to be in Dayton, to follow and write down what someone had agreed to”.
He said that he was surprised that, despite everything that America is facing – crises in Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, O’Brien came to Bosnia and Herzegovina to open another fire and introduce instability, just when the leaders were trying to reach an agreement.
O’Brien said today in Sarajevo that the property belongs to the state.
“In 2001, Bosnia and Herzegovina signed the Agreement on the Succession of the SFRY, which was ratified by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and attributed state property to Bosnia and Herzegovina, not to the entities. There is a way to discuss property by discussing it in the relevant institutions,” he explained. O’Brien speaking on Faculty of Political Science, Srna news agency writes.
