Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković announced his trip to Washington at the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stressing that it will be a key opportunity to present the real picture of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He pointed out that an agreement on cooperation in the field of defense with Egypt had been prepared, and he also spoke about solving large projects and state property.
“I appeal to all our friends, partners, domestic and foreign, to get down to business as soon as possible and to resolve the issue of state property disposal. The ownership issue for us has been completely resolved and harmonized with the judgments of the Constitutional Court and the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The owner is exclusively Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.
Konaković also spoke about the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is inviting dozens of countries to Washington, where they will talk about political terrorism.
“It’s a new agenda of President Trump and the American administration that talks about the problems of both the extreme left and the extreme right. We will have something to say on that issue and introduce our friends to the real situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said and added:
“That picture was partially blurred by some lobbyists, they failed to achieve some important goals, but it is very important that we be there. First, I am going to New York tomorrow for the marking and commemoration of the genocide in Srebrenica, which will take place on July 9. We are going back to Srebrenica, then I will go to Washington again on the 15th, and on the 16th I will attend this event. A large number of our friends around the world will be very important, we will once again use the opportunity to talk with them about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said, Klix.ba writes.
