The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković will be in Washington on July 16, 2026, where he will participate in a ministerial meeting dedicated to the resurgence of political terrorism at the invitation of the United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
At the meeting, hosted by the State Department, ministers and high-ranking officials from more than 50 countries will gather to exchange experiences and strengthen international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
During the ministerial meeting, topics including assessment of current security threats, improvement of information and intelligence exchange, coordination of activities of competent institutions, protection of critical infrastructure, border security, as well as strengthening of international mechanisms for countering terrorist networks will be considered.
On the sidelines of the meeting in Washington, Minister Konaković will hold a series of bilateral meetings with high officials of the United States of America and other partner countries, during which they will discuss the improvement of bilateral cooperation and current regional and international issues.
