Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković announced that he would send a diplomatic note to Serbia, because its Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić sat during the singing of the BiH anthem at the Banja Luka “Kozara” barracks today.

“A note is being written in my cabinet, I will react sharply to the Serbian authorities and the Serbian public, so that they can see what kind of defense minister they have and what disrespect for the country he came to, very incorrect,” Konaković said after a session of the BiH Council of Ministers in Sarajevo.

The BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that such behavior is not in line with the principles of good neighborly relations, mutual respect and international diplomatic practice, and considers it offensive to the institutions and citizens of BiH.

Konaković is asking the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide an official explanation regarding this incident.
