A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, is on a working visit to the United States of America (USA), during which he will attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

Bećirović said that Washington and Brussels are the two most important cities for Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he IS concretely emphasizing this with his visit.

He announced that during his visit to Washington, he will have numerous meetings with US officials in the White House, the Pentagon, and with US senators and congresspeople.

“I want to strengthen the American-Bosnian alliance and friendship. We must deepen and strengthen that alliance. It is of great importance for our people and country. I will work with all my strength to achieve our strategic goals, namely: full membership in NATO and the European Union,” emphasized Bećirović.

He added that he wanted to strengthen existing friendships, “build new ones where we can and preserve the pride and dignity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

“I will continue to make moves that are good for our country, even when they are not good for me personally. Bosnia and Herzegovina is more important than any individual or any political party. We must recognize the dangers before us and respond bravely, smartly and decisively,” said Bećirović in a video statement.
