Former Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nenad Nešić is set to be released from custody, after the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not request an extension of his detention, but only prohibitory measures, his defense attorney Senka Nožica confirmed to BHRT.
Nešić is set to be released from custody today or Monday at the latest.
He was arrested late last year as part of a corruption investigation, along with Mladen Lučić and five other people.
Nešić and others are suspected of committing the criminal offenses of conspiracy to commit money laundering, abuse of official position or authority, and accepting bribes.
Nešić resigned from his position as Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of January.
