During his visit to Qatar, the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija stressed the readiness of BiH and its businesspeople to establish closer economic cooperation with this country.

Lagumdžija stressed that BiH has great economic potential and that it is open for foreign investments in various sectors.

He expressed the interest of BiH to participate in the further development and construction of Qatar through its companies, especially the opportunity of BiH companies to engage in building facilities for the Football World Cup 2022 that will be organized by Qatar.

Lagumdžija was accompanied by a BiH delegation of businesspeople with representatives from more than 50 companies, the BiH Foreign Trade Chamber, the RS and FBIH Chambers of Commerce, and the Agency for Foreign Investment in BiH.

A special dinner was organized last night for Lagumdžija and a part of the BiH business delegation (25 businesspeople). The host was the President of the Qatar Businessmen Association Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al Thani, who is one of the most powerful businesspeople in Qatar. Members of the Qatari Alfaisa Holding, which is made up of 20 companies, also attended the meeting.

Lagumdžija invited the sheikh to visit BiH in order to become familiar with the economic and investment opportunities of local companies.
